Wow I have sucked so far!

Well I had an original goal of blogging at least once a day. Well its been like 2 since my last post. Oh well. Ugh I knew exactly what I wanted to blog today and now that I'm here its gone. I've been waking up for a while with random songs stuck in my head. Things I havent heard in years and sometimes its songs I dont even like. But there they are playing like a record that keeps sticking in my head, over and over. Usually the same part of said random song. It drives me insane. The other day it was Rock Lobster. Really? An incredibly random song like that. But there it was just the Rock Lobster part. No other parts of the song just that. Then Friday it was some stupid country song that I dont even know the name of. Who knows what goes on in my head when I'm asleep.

Austin and I got to have a great semi date night last night thanks to my sister Kristy. She watched Evan so we could go to dinner then we watched Cali so she could go out with some friends. We went to one of our favorite restaurants that has opened up a new store in Sundance Square called Savianos. The place is nice lacks the ambiance of the original and they changed a little of the food, mostly in a good way. But either way it was nice to get out. Although I missed my little man. We came home to him playing with his little piano while sitting in his bumbo and Cali singing Taylor Swift on Guitar Hero. He was in heaven. He loves his cousin Cali. Omg he loves her. Its so cute to see him watch her. He just gets the biggest smile when he sees her and she is so sweet to him. She loves him just as much.

We cloth diaper Evan. I love it. Its so much easier and cheaper than disposable diapers. Well now one of Austins cousins is wanting to CD the baby she is having! I feel like such a geek that I am so excited about it! Hmmm wonder if I can get her fully over to the dark side and breast feed and baby wear? lol!

Just kind of peeved!

Last night after work I had to stop by Albertsons to get a couple of ingredients to make dinner. I obviously was not supposed to have gone because it was crap! First there are no lines open on the end I parked on. Then all the lanes available had people with huge carts full and I had 3 items. Finally as I was leaving, trying to pull out on a very busy street, there was a ton of on coming traffic. I drive a very small car so it's kind of hard for me to see around a ton of trucks and SUVs. The woman behind me started honking because I was not, I dont know, pulling out in front of on coming traffic and killing myself so she could get to her destination. Well when I was able to go she starts honking again, then pulls up to me at the red light 100 yards after the turn and starts yelling at me. I admit I was on my phone with my husband and actually telling him I couldn't see around to go across the street. This lady was yelling at me from her HUGE gas guzzling Tahoe and throws one cigarette out the window and proceeds to light another. She then punches it when the light turns green only to go over the bridge and stop at the other light. I am thinking all this rage just to be stopped exactly where I am, like me being hit by on coming traffic would have gotten her further-NOPE. Finally the light is green and he hauls it again speeding the short distance to the Cracker Barrel. Seriously all that for some chicken and dumplings? I hope she choked on one!! Not die from it but just put a good scare into her.

Other than that it was a great evening at home! Evan had his first ginger snap. I thought they would be too hard for him to actually eat and so he'd just suck on it and gnaw. I was so wrong! They melt very easily and quickly, so he ended up eating a lot of it. Pictures to come of his after. It's hilarious how covered he was!

My first blog post!

Recently I have gotten bored with dinner. My cooking skills are so limited and I get so tired with eating the same things over and over that I've branched out and tried new things. So far I have found a few recipes from vaious sites that are really great! So here are a couple for your awesome viewing.

1. Chicken Nachos-So easy I believe even my 8yr old niece could make them! All that is required is chunky salsa, chunk white chicken, cheddar cheese soup, tortilla chips and whatever you want for toppings! I added refried beans and boiled my own chicken. Austin loved it so much he ate almost all of it himself!

2. Beef Stew. This is definitely more difficult and requires some time. This is the link to the recipe I found. I did however modify it for the way we eat. I did extra broth instead of the wine, I cut out the thyme and I use whatever veggies I have for it. I also only let it simmer for about 15mins before adding the veggies.
